Solving the "What’s for dinner" problem!
What’s for dinner? Ask today’s busy professionals and
you’ll hear answers such as, "I pick up a pizza or some fast food on the way home," or "I usually stop at the deli section
of the grocery store," or "I’ll pop a frozen dinner in the microwave."
A personal chef service offers an alternative—My name is J.
D. McDonald and I am the owner and chef of Food by Hand, Personal Chef Service. "As a personal chef, I plan menus, shop for
groceries, and prepare nutritious dinners for busy people," .
My typical client is a professional individual or couple who is concerned
about health and wants to have delicious, preservative-free dinners, but doesn’t have the time to plan, shop for, and
prepare them.
Luxury or necessity? If your first thought is that this service would
be an unaffordable luxury, you might want to think again. Just what is your time worth? Time has possibly become the most
precious commodity we have. Good health may be second. What is the point of being successful if you aren’t healthy enough
to enjoy the results of your success?
Career-oriented professionals continually evaluate ways to make the
most of their time and many of these busy people would rather spend the time it takes to plan, shop for, and prepare nutritious
meals in other ways.
Close your eyes and imagine that you come home from your long and
busy day, and in about ten minutes, you put the finishing touches on a healthy, well-balanced and delicious dinner—then
sit down and enjoy it.
Some clients arrange for a personal chef every other week, while
others find a monthly service fits their needs. Food by Hand will customize the service and menu to fit every
client’s situation.
To plan, shop for and prepare twenty nutritious dinners, the service
charge starts at $425.00 , which includes the cost of the groceries.
Your service begins with a comprehensive interview to determine food
preferences, as well as any dietary requirements. This is your opportunity to let me know that you hate broccoli, don’t
want just soup for dinner and need to eat foods low in saturated fats and salt. This information is the basis for the customized
menus I create.
"No two clients have the same menus," I have an on-going communication
with clients to make sure they are satisfied. Each client receives their next menu in advance. They can make changes or suggestions
and also let me know if they will be having guests for any of the meals."
A personal chef is not a caterer. In order to reduce overhead expenses
and keep your meals affordable, Food by Hand will prepare all meals in your kitchen. I will arrive at your home with everything
necessary to prepare your meals, package them safely and label them for storage. I will only use your oven, cook-top, microwave
and kitchen sink. I bring my own utensils and pots and pans. When I finish your meals, I will clean your stove, sink and counter
tops leaving you with nothing but the fragrance of home cooked food and a freezer and refrigerator full of food!
